Microglossum viride (Pers. ex Fr.) Gillet Fruit body 1–5cm high, 0.2–0.5cm wide, olive green, fertile head smooth and deeply furrowed, club-shaped, stalk paler and distinctly scurfy. Asci 150 x 10µ. Spores cylindric to fusiform containing large oil drops, 15–20 x 5–6µ. Habitat often in dense clusters amongst moss in deciduous woods. Season autumn. Occasional. Not edible. Distribution, America and Europe.
